365 DAYS TO KEEP THE GRASS GREENER ON THIS SIDE
I’m on Day 86 of The Gratefulness Project and I want to share with you why I created this project.
Gratefulness is a conscious way of noticing the beauty and love that surrounds us.
But when we get wrapped up in our daily struggles, it’s hard to see outside ‘the grass is greener on the other side’.
Even little things like complaining about the weather, traffic, our work or health, stops us from appreciating in the moment.
Everyday I see women and couples struggling with fertility challenges. One of my central pieces of advice is to learn gratitude to make our days a little lighter by appreciating what we have while on this difficult journey.
I’m not saying that practicing gratitude will make you pregnant. But gratitude may help you manage your stress by not focusing on your day-to-day anxieties, complaints, worries, fears, and pre-occupations. This can provide you happiness, peace and calm in the moment. And if we create more of these moments, it can inspire you and impact your body’s response to stress. Instead of staying in a ‘fight or flight’ mode where our stress hormones may impact our reproductive and overall health, thankfulness may provide a coping mechanism that’s positive.
This is what inspired me to create the Gratefulness Project. I believe in practicing what I preach so there is no better way than to challenge myself by posting 365 days of gratefulness with you. Sharing will keep me accountable, on track, and hopefully inspire you to practice what you are grateful for in your life.
So take a moment of gratitude each day and see if you can keep the grass greener on this side
